Orders

What does "made-to-order" mean??

Made-to-order means that each garment is created specifically for you after you place your order. This allows us to offer customizable options and ensures a perfect fit. We need 7-10 business days to make your clothes with love and care. Please refer to the product description for specific details on made-to-order items.

Can I make changes to my order after it has been placed?

We understand that changes may be necessary. If you need to make any modifications to your order, such as updating the shipping address, changing product size or adding items, please contact our customer support team as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but please note that changes may not be possible if your order has already been shipped.

Can I cancel my order?

In case of cancellation, please mail us within 12 hours of placing the order. Cancellations after this period would be contingent on the status of the order.

Domestic & International Shipping:

Is there a shipping fee?

We offer free shipping for all domestic orders above INR 1,000. Orders of a lesser value (for India) and all international orders, have a delivery fee associated depending on your delivery address

How long does shipping take?

We strive to process and ship your order as quickly as possible. Once your order is placed, please allow 7-10 business days for processing. Shipping times vary depending on your location, but typically range between 3-7 business days. Please note that international shipping may take longer due to customs procedures.

Can I track my order?

Absolutely! Once your order is shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. You can use this tracking number to monitor the progress of your shipment. If you have any concerns about tracking your order, please feel free to contact our customer support team.

Will I have to pay customs and duties taxes?

If you purchase from outside of India, you, the buyer, are responsible for all customs & duties associated within your own country. For detailed information, we recommend contacting your local customs office or reading our shipping terms page. We are legally required to declare the full value paid on all orders and must include the correct invoice for customs should they request this.

Returns and Exchanges:

What is your exchange policy?

A request for an exchange or return, must be submitted within 3 days of receiving your order. The items must be in original condition with the original packaging and all tags
attached. Any garments that appear to have been worn, washed, or altered in any way will be refused. Please take care when trying on garments, as we cannot accept garments that have incurred any makeup stains or that smell of perfume. The items must be returned to our studio before the return for credit or exchange can be issued. Items are eligible for exchange only once.

We do not accept any exchanges for items marked as FINAL SALE. We do not accept any international returns / exchanges at the moment. Flash Sale items are eligible for store credit only. Only authorised returns will be processed. Any returns sent without authorisation will be refused and it will be the responsibility of the customer to arrange collection of their garment.

Please note, the above returns policy applies to all purchases made via the daughtersofsouth.com website only. Unfortunately, we do not have a refund policy as all products are made-to-order just for you.

How can I exchange a garment?

If you'd like to exchange or return your outfit, please write to us at hello@daughtersofsouth.com with your order number and reason for exchange/return within 3 days of receiving your order. Once your request is approved, we will send a courier to pick up your package at the address provided within 24-48 hours. Once approved, please pack the garment in its original packaging with all the original tags and a pick-up agent will come to collect the package. Please note if we receive the items in any other packaging, we will not be able to accept the return and the package will be sent back. Remember that you must send the items you wish to return within 3 days from the shipping date of your order, before the exchange period expires. Items are eligible for exchange only once.

What if the garment received is damaged / faulty?

Every product we send out is initially quality controlled, however if you have received a product with a manufacturing fault we will replace it or refund the cost as long as it has been returned within the 3 day return period. If you have received a faulty item please follow the same steps listed above for exchanges/returns. You will need to mail images of the damage in order for the team to investigate. We will replace the item if stock is available or refund the amount upon return.

Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards and debit cards for domestic and international online purchases. You can also pay via net banking or use our affiliated online wallets.

Do you accept cash on delivery (COD)?

Yes, we do accept COD.

Sale

What does final sale mean?

Items marked with final sale will not be accepted for a return or exchange. If you have any questions about your sale item or want to check whether your order qualifies for a refund please email customer care.

What if a final sale item I ordered arrived damaged?

Please email customer care with your order number, full name and photographs of the damaged garment.

How can I use a voucher/code?

After you have added your items to your cart, please select to proceed to checkout. You will have the option to add your discount code or promo code to your order. Please bear in mind, only one discount code can be redeemed per order.

Can I exchange a garment purchased on flash sale?

Any purchases made on our FLASH SALE are eligible for exchange only. Items can be exchanged for other sizes or styles based on the same full price value of the item purchased during the promotion, and exchanges are subject to availability at the time your return has been received and processed by our team. Should a customer wish to exchange for an item of a higher retail price, then the price difference between the 2 products will be payable at the time of exchange. Exchange value will be considered based on the discounted price paid for the item/s. Standard returns policy guidelines still apply. See below for more information.

Customizations

Can I request custom sizing?

Absolutely! We offer made-to-order garments where you can provide your measurements for a custom fit. Simply refer to our Size Guide and follow the instructions on how to measure yourself accurately. We want every customer to feel comfortable and confident in their Daughters of South pieces.

Can I request customizations or alterations to a design?

While we strive to offer a wide range of options, we currently do not offer extensive customizations or alterations to our designs. However, if you have a specific request or suggestion, we would love to hear from you. Your feedback helps us improve and cater to our customers' needs.

Size Guide

How do I determine my size?

To find your perfect fit, please refer to our detailed Size Guide. It provides measurement instructions and size charts specific to each garment. Take accurate measurements of your bust, waist, hips, and other relevant areas to select the appropriate size. If you have any questions, our customer support team is here to assist you.

I fall in between sizes and I'm not sure which size to choose?

If you fall between sizes and don't wish to customize, please select the larger size, or reach out to our customer care team to know the exact garment measurements before ordering.

Does the size chart depict body measurements or garment measurements?

The size chart on the product page mentions body measurements. The garment measurements may differ from the body measurements depending on the silhouette. In case of any doubts regarding the garment measurement reach out to us at hello@daughtersofsouth.com.

Garments and Care

What if an item is not the colour that I thought it would be?

Please bear in mind due to different computer monitors/calibrations colors may vary slightly from the picture. Although every effort is made to photograph garments in truest form and describe these in detail, we cannot guarantee every monitor will accurately depict the actual color of the product.

How should I care for my garments?

Each piece is handmade and hand dyed. Each garment has care instructions listed in the product page and for specific care instructions, please refer to the care label attached to the garment. We recommend dry cleaning all dark colored garments and for the rest hand wash in cold water. Proper care ensures the longevity and beauty of your pieces.
